Eagle Bound and Soaring High!

"Blazing a Trail for Others to Follow..."

...and "We ARE Prepared!" are words that we live by.

It's an attitude... a mindset and our creed.

UPDATED BSA MED FORMS NEEDED FROM EVERYONE!

Posted on Jun 12 2021 - 11:56pm

The required BSA health information forms are out of date for nearly everyone in Troop 214.  If you participate in ANY troop activities (youth or adult) please provide an updated BSA health information form Parts A and B right away.

A few troop outings during the year also require Part C which must be signed by a medical professional annually.  This includes summer camp -- Part C must be dated no earlier than July 2020.  Please turn this in to the troop by June 29.  You must use the most recent form version (dated 2019 at the bottom).  Camp Daniel Boone will not accept any other form or printing date version.

How to complete the BSA medical form

  1. Download the latest version of the form (2019 printing) attached below.
  2. Fill out parts A & B.  Immunization dates must be either written on the form or attached.  (Get any needed boosters, especially tetanus.)
  3. Attach a photocopy of the front and back sides of medical insurance card.
  4. Scouts and parents sign the front.
  5. A medical practitioner fills out and signs Part C.  (Make a habit of taking this form with you to your annual wellness exam.)
  6. Make two photocopies and submit those to the troop.  Keep the original form.

Grasshoppers Baseball is back!

Posted on May 1 2021 - 10:23pm

And that means our awesome Greensboro Grasshoppers parking fundraiser is back as well!  This is a fun, easy way for the troop to earn much needed money, and for YOU to earn a portion to help with your trip expenses!  A Scout pays his own way!

Please see the sign-up options on the calendar and grab some dates!  Troop 214 has been awarded four dates in May by the parking lot owner.  If you don't know what this is about (and how fun and easy it is) please ask another Scout!

Help support Scouting in our area

Posted on Apr 2 2021 - 11:38pm

Donate to Scouting Today!

COVID-19 prevention measures are still impacting the ability to conduct in-person Friends of Scouting (FOS) presentations. For your convenience, current FOS donors can now make each of their monthly payments (with No Fees!) in just a few seconds by clicking on the “Donate Now” button.

Local Scouting in Old North State Council, BSA thrived in the “Virtual Scouting World” of online merit badge instruction, Zoom gatherings, and other online activities that kept our Scouts and parents engaged socially while physically distant. Scouting provided so many quality moments for families at home. Operational costs still exist, even at the reduced meeting level. They will now begin to increase as Scouting activity is returning to normal.

If you haven’t had an opportunity to participate in “Friends of Scouting” this year at your Pack, Troop, Crew, or Sea Scouts meeting, please take a moment to do so now.

Thank you in advance for your support.
